The course is set in an undulating parkland oasis within an urban setting and offers panoramic views of the city. An 18 hole 6258 yard, par 71 and SSS71 Championship course which has hosted the Welsh Professional Championship, the Ladies European Tour and a number of top amateur events, Ian Woosnam holds the course record of 62 but the record for the newly extended yardage has been set by Mr. Nigel Edwards, of Walker Cup fame. Directly in front of the clubhouse is a putting green and a separate putting and chipping green. The clubhouse has recently been extensively refurbished and provides a relaxing atmosphere where members and visitors alike can enjoy excellent cuisine from the restaurant and drinks from the two bars. Mr. Rhys Davies, the club professional, maintains a wide and varied selection of equipment and is available to give lessons or advice.
