Ashburnham Golf Course

Ashburnham is one of the classic Welsh links golf courses. Bernard Gallagher, Europe’s former Ryder Cup captain, won his first tournament here in 1969, and it was here that Sam Torrance also gained his first title, the 1976 Martini. As can be noted this golf course has hosted top amateur and professional throughout its distinguished history.

Due to changing wind conditions the course rarely plays the same on consecutive days. One 9 can therefore be forgiving, the other 9 hideously difficult.

Ashburnham is a true championship links challenge and rates in most golf commentators “must play” category of courses. Why not try it yourself, we are sure that you will agree!
