Southerndown Golf Course

Southerndown golf course has been described by the maestro Henry Cotton as one of the most difficult opening holes he’d encountered. With bracken to the left of you, bracken to the right and a fairway rising up to the sky!

It gets better from there as well with a splendid combination of strong par 3’s and 4’s and some relatively straightforward par 5’s that keep your card in reasonable order.

The finish can be hideous if your tee shot does not find the fairways. Southerndown is a fine links downland and provides the visitor with an experience that will last long in the memory banks.
